- Age Limit: As of July 1, 2025, candidates must have completed a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 40 years of age.

Application Process: How to Apply Online #
The application process for UPSSSC PET 2025 is entirely online. Candidates must apply through the official website, upsssc.gov.in. Only one application should be submitted per candidate. The application process is divided into five main parts:
- Candidate Registration: Candidates need to fill in their personal details such as name, father’s/husband’s name, domicile of Uttar Pradesh, category, date of birth, gender, marital status, mobile number, email address, mandatory educational qualifications, and other relevant information. Candidates who applied for PET in 2021, 2022, or 2023 can register using their previous registration number, and their primary information will be auto-populated.
- Uploading Photo and Signature: Candidates must upload a colored photograph (taken within the last 6 months) and their scanned signature. The photograph should meet specific standards regarding clarity, background, and size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, with approximately 70% of the face visible). The photo file size should be between 50 KB and 100 KB and in JPEG or JPG format. The signature (in Hindi or English) should be within a size of 3.5 cm wide and 1.5 cm long, with a file size between 30 KB and 50 KB in JPEG or JPG format. Signatures in capital letters are not valid. Candidates must write their name in Hindi below their signature.
- Filling in Remaining Part of the Form: Candidates need to fill in their permanent and correspondence addresses and agree to the declaration. The declaration content should be reviewed carefully, and candidates must select “Yes” to proceed. A preview of the entered details will be available, and amendments can be made before final submission.
- Fee Payment and Submission: The prescribed fee can be paid online using Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-challan. After successful payment, the filled application form will be displayed and can be downloaded/printed. If the application form is not displayed after payment, it means the fee has not been adjusted, and candidates need to use the “Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification” option on the website’s Applicant Segment to verify and then download/print the form. If payment is unsuccessful, a Payment Acknowledgment Receipt (PAR) will be displayed, and candidates need to follow a similar process to complete the payment and get the application form. For e-challan payments, candidates need to download the e-challan, pay at any SBI branch, and then update the transaction details online. Fee adjustment and printing of the application form must be completed by the last date or within seven days thereafter, but no later than June 24, 2025.
- Taking Printout of Application Form: Candidates are advised to take a printout of their detailed application form from the “Print Detailed Application Form” option in the “Know Your Status” segment on the website’s homepage by the specified date. A copy of this printout will be required during document verification. If unable to print after fee payment, candidates can use the “Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification” option to adjust the fee and obtain the printout.

Joining Process #
The recruitment process for Group ‘C’ posts under UPSSSC involves a two-tiered examination system, starting with the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET). The PET score is valid for three years from the date of uploading the result on the Commission’s website. When applying for a main examination against a specific advertisement, candidates can use their highest valid normalized score from any eligible PET they have appeared in. Shortlisting for the main examination will be based on this score.
Exam Plan and Syllabus #
The detailed exam plan and syllabus for the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 are available in Appendix-1 of the advertisement.
If a large number of applications are received, the PET may be conducted in multiple shifts/days, and normalization of scores will be applied for comparative evaluation. The Commission’s decision regarding normalization will be final.
The schedule for the written examination will be announced separately on the Commission’s official website.
Important Instructions
Candidates should carefully read the advertisement and instructions before applying. The date of birth recorded in the High School or equivalent certificate will be considered valid. The Commission does not engage in personal correspondence with candidates; all information is published on the official website. In case of any difficulty in online application, candidates can contact the Commission through the provided phone number or website. Candidates with more than one living spouse are generally not eligible, unless exempted by the Governor.
