Eligibility Criteria #
Educational Qualification
- For Trades at Sl. No. 4 to 15:
Must possess ITI Certificate in the relevant trade, recognized by NCVT/SCVT. - For Sl. No. 1 to 3 (Mate, Blaster & Front Office Assistant):
Should have passed 10th/Matriculation under 10+2 system or its equivalent. - Candidates with higher academic or professional qualifications (like Diploma, BE/BTech, BA, BSc, BCom) will not be considered.
Age Limit (as on 01 May 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
Other Conditions
- ITI pass-outs from 2023 or earlier must submit an affidavit (non-judicial stamp paper) stating they are not employed or have not undergone apprenticeship training previously.
Application Process #
Step 1: Register on Apprenticeship Portal
- Visit: www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Complete the apprentice registration process and note down the Registration Number.
Step 2: Apply on HCL Website
- Visit: www.hindustancopper.com
- Navigate to “Careers > Apprenticeship” section
- Use your Apprenticeship Portal Registration Number to fill the HCL application form.
- Upload:
- Recent Passport-sized Photograph (under 50 KB, JPG)
- Signature (under 50 KB, JPG)
- Submit and take a printout of the submitted application and acknowledgment slip.
Note:
- Apply for only one trade.
- Multiple applications will be rejected (only first application considered).
Selection Process & Merit List #
- Merit-Based Shortlisting – No written exam or interview
- Weightage for Merit Preparation:
- 70% of marks from 10th Standard
- 30% from ITI marks (if applicable)
- For trades where ITI is not required, selection will be 100% based on 10th marks.
- 10 bonus marks will be awarded to dependents of existing HCL/KCC employees.
- In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given to the older candidate.
Training Duration & Stipend #
